Hey everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on the blog because I’ve been so busy so I decided that I would share what I’ve been doing with you guys. This post is just going to be a casual life update then I have the next installment of My Budgeted Life coming next week and a new series I’ll be starting on my progress on learning the Swift programming language so be on the lookout for that. In the meantime and in between time, I’ve got a wedding to (help) plan. That’s right, I’m engaged.
Now, odds are if you are reading this, you already know I’m engaged. A ton of Baylee and I’s friends and family were very kind to us when we shared the news on Facebook 2 weeks ago, and for that I am truly grateful. I have some amazing people in my life that were very excited for Baylee and I. With that being said, there are a select few people who were involved in the proposal themselves, and I have to give a huge thanks to them. There are quite a few, so I won’t name you all, but you know who you are and you should know how amazing you are.
I figured I’d share the brief version of Baylee and I’s story. We met when we both worked together at Florida Gulf Coast University. We worked for housing and shared an office. Baylee and I started hanging out around Christmas time of 2015 and I knew there was something special about her. After developing our friendship further and further, I asked her to be my girlfriend on February 20, 2016. It’s been an adventure ever since. She met my family and they love her to death. She fits right in and I know she’s going to make an amazing Boddy family member. I also met her family, a rambunctious bunch from Alabama who are the kindest people you will ever meet. We did loads of fun things including getting Universal annual passes, road trips, a sunset cruise, and seeing new Star Wars movies together to name a few. We have only grown closer and more in love, so I knew I had to ask her to marry me.
We are excited to be planning a wedding, and we have quite a bit up our sleeves. I have thrown together a ‘wedsite’ for people to keep up with what we are doing and how the wedding plans are coming. You can find a more detailed version of our story, an in depth look in to the proposal (soon to have an included video) and wedding plan updates at ryanandbaylee.com. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings, or to marry the love of my life on April 28, 2018. Maybe we’ll see you there 😉
Like I said, I’m keeping it short this time, but be on the lookout for more posts coming soon. Thanks again to all the people involved in our proposal and as always, thanks for reading!
